It took me a month to get down to finishing this journal but it's done!

Our last non-Legoland holiday was Taiwan in 2018 just before Kai entered primary school. We had wanted to go to Japan in 2020 before Yang entered primary school but you know, COVID. So no plans for Yu too. When travel restrictions were mostly lifted, Kai's PSLE was looming. So a post-PSLE trip it was!

Legoland galore!

Legoland, 2017-2023

While the kids are still young, we bring them to places they love. Legoland Malaysia is loved by both kids and parents! So we have been there 11 times so far... Would have been more if not for COVID!

Didn't have the time to write each post as they happened so I compiled a list below...

First year of annual pass:

1. 21-24 Sep 2017 - stayed at Legoland Hotel, went to Thomas Town: Everything is awesome! 
2. 8-10 Dec 2017: Awesome again!
3. 30 May-1 Jun 2018: Ninjago!
4. 11-13 Sep 2018 - without Yu: 2/3 the fun...

Second year of annual pass:

1. 10-13 Jun 2019 - serviced apartments from now on: Legoland once more
2. 11-14 Sep 2019: Lost boy incident
3. 17-20 Dec 2019: Unexpectedly our last for a while

Third year of annual pass:

1. 13-16 Dec 2022 - no more helper: Back again!
2. 15-18 Mar 2023: A new itinerary
3. 31 May-3 Jun 2023: Modified itinerary
4. 22-25 Nov 2023: Last trip?

On retrospect, we were very brave to take this trip right after Yang had his last febrile fit!

So we wanted a babymoon. And the best time fell on ZK's birthday week! One stone two birds :)

We chose Club Med at Bintan as it has a Mini Club for age 4-10 :p So we left ZY with Mum and left our hearts wondering what mischief he would be up to (lots!) as we departed for our holiday...

Our first proper holiday in a long time!! But there is work at every step when you have a toddler in tow...

So, we're back from India, safe and sound, no diarrhoea. We didn't lose the kid either, hoho! But this must be the most tiring holiday ever. Lots of interesting things and good moments, but tiring all the same. Plenty of photos and videos, and showing off the cutest and most troublesome aspect of our trip - ZK.

Singapore? No, it's Singapore Day in New York! Yup, the event was our motivation for this trip..

We stayed in a hotel in Chinatown and pretty much just ate around there except for our excursions into Brooklyn. So no itinerary to post..

But first, a little adventure before the trip... I was trying to check in for our outbound flights on Friday but I kept getting an invalid confirmation code response from the system. So I logged into Expedia and to my shock and horror, both our outbound and inbound flights were changed!

So, we chose to go to Seattle, Vancouver and Anchorage cos we thought we would just be leaving one cold place for another. Turned out that it got really really warm here in Evanston - almost like Singapore warm! - the week before we set off! Oh well...

It was supposed to be an eating trip but I think we didn't overeat (too much, all the time), which was good for our bellies.. In fact, we walked so much especially in the first four days that it might have been a net loss!

Back in February, we made plans for three holidays in March and April, and this babymoon to the Bahamas was the first!

It was such a relaxing holiday! We slept a lot, ate a lot, walked a lot, watched a lot of TV - all without the usual distraction of smart phones and emails and homework. It was bliss :)

We randomly picked a spot nearby for a short holiday - Milwaukee. We decided not to drive so we took the Metra to Chicago and changed to an Amtrak, which turned out to be really comfortable.
